NorthShore Rugby is excited to offer elementary-aged youth rugby leagues designed to introduce the sport in a safe, fun, and age-appropriate way.

• K–2nd Grade: Tag Rugby

• 3rd–5th Grade: Flag Rugby

Both leagues are held together but separated by age group to ensure the best experience for every athlete.

⚠️ 5th Grade Note:

If your 5th grader is ready for full-contact rugby, we encourage you to check out our 5th/6th GradeMiddle School Team.

If you’re unsure, please register them for this league and contact contact us directly —we’re happy to discuss readiness and help evaluate placement.

No Experience:
Players do not need to know anything about rugby to participate! The game will be learned over the course of the four sessions.

What to Expect:
Across four sessions, participants will:

• Warm up with age-appropriate movement

• Learn skills through fun drills and activities

• Play tag or flag rugby games

• The season concludes with a Tag & Flag Rugby Tournament Finale.

• Our focus is always on safety, confidence, teamwork, and fun—while helping kids fall in love with the sport.

Coaching and safety

All Twin Ports Rugby coaches are:

• SafeSport certified

• Rugby Ready & Rugby Safety certified

• Concussion Management certified

• Background checked through USA Rugby

*Our club also includes over a dozen World Rugby Level 0 and Level 1 certified coaches, ensuring a safe, positive, and well-supported experience for every athlete.

Equipment Needed:

• Shorts or athletic bottoms

• Athletic shoes (tennis, gym, or indoor soccer shoes — NO cleats)

• NorthShore Youth Rugby T-Shirt (provided and kept at the end of the season)
